St. Patricks Day

One question I have is why do you wear green on St. Patricks day? Another question I have is why do you celebrate a birthday of someone dead? I say St. Patricks day is weird. Why do people pinch you if somebody is not wearing green? I don't really celebrate St. Patricks day. You might consider this as an insalt but it actually isn't, I just don't celebrate St. Patricks day. In England we don't have St. Patricks day. I don't like the idea of wearing green on St. Patricks day. I got pinched when I was wearing green.

hahaha.

Hi Lauren. It's good to see you posting on your blog again. I know what you mean. St Patrick's Day goes by in England without anyone noticing much, but here in the USA they make a lot of it, don't they?

One good thing, though, was that Ireland beat Pakistan in the Cricket World Cup on St Patrick's day, and that was great.

Some people in England do celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Irish-themed pubs will usually have a St. Patrick's Day celebration.

The difference between England and here in NC seems to be that in England it is mainly Irish people (and their friends?) who celebrate St. Patrick's Day; whereas here, it seems to be that almost everyone gets in on the act.

I don't much like the idea of getting pinched (especially as you were actually wearing green).

No, I wouldn't like getting pinched either - does everyone who wears green for any reason get pinched. What a hard life it is in the USA.

When i was at school, they pulled your hair on your birthday - one pull for every year. so I never told them
